Sustainability Forum to be Held in University Hall

by | Jan 31, 2017 | News, page 2

On Jan. 31, ASUR will be hosting a sustainability forum at 7 p.m in University Hall. The event emerged from last semester’s “Cuca’s with Cabinet” event where numerous students expressed concerns with the University’s policies and positions on sustainability-related issues. The parties present at the last event were unable to answer a number of these questions. Since then, ASUR’s Sustainability Representative, senior Nicole Yeager, has been working towards coordinating this event. In addition to Students for Environmental Action presence at the event, the University’s Sustainability Council, including professors Monty Hemple, James Spee and Director of Facilities Management, Roger Cellini, will be discussing the University’s current policies and future goals. The facilitators will also address questions and concerns from community members in attendance. Both the ASUR and President’s Cabinet have been invited to attend the event and listen to the community. If you have a question, comment or concern related to sustainability but cannot attend the event, you can e-mail Nicole Yeager at
