Prepare to be inspired because Saturday Oct. 24th, Elizabeth Gilbert, the New York Times bestselling author of “Eat Pray Love” is coming to campus!
During her speech, she will be focusing on how to creatively pave your life, drawing from her new book “Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear.” In her new book, Gilbert challenges her readers to embrace curiosity, live a balanced life, and find the gem within.
Kavitah Rajah, Executive Director for Convocations and Lectures, found Gilbert unique from other speakers that have come to the university. Rajah prides herself on bringing influential speakers to campus.
“Her TED talks are very inspirational and her speaking draws people in,” Rajah said. “Her new book is about creative leadership which is good for students because we can always use direction when it comes to leadership or just dealing with people in life.”
Tickets are available in Hunsaker at Event Services and are free for students. Gilbert will be speaking at 3:00 pm in the Memorial Chapel.
