Come one, come all to this spooky event where gender expression knows no boundaries!
The Pride Alliance and The Pride Center will be hosting the sixth annual Drag-O-Ween party this Thursday, Oct. 29th from 8 p.m. to 10p.m. in Orton.
“Drag-O-Ween is important because it provides a safe space for people to have a good time and express themselves in anyway they choose” said Emily Johnson, event planner of Pride Alliance and University of Redlands sophomore.
Students are invited to come to the event dressed in drag or their best costumes.
There will be prizes for best drag Queen, drag King, and overall Halloween costume.
There will also be music, a photo booth, free refreshments and most importantly a drag show performance by Planet Queer, a group based out of L.A.
Pride Alliance meets every Tuesday at 8p.m. in Campus Diversity and Inclusion (CDI), which is located in the first floor of Hunsaker. The pride center is located there as well and is a space to study and relax in a comfortable environment.
Tickets for the event can be purchased in the commons at lunch and dinner for two dollars or at the door for three dollars. Doors open at 7:40 p.m. and the show will begin promptly at 8 p.m.
