FEM FEST: EMPOWERMENT AND LIBERATION THROUGH A VISUAL SERIES

Fem Fest, an event put in place by Johnston Center senior, Julie Donohue, was a successful affair filled with feminist punk rock and rap music, moshing, art and food. University Hall on Saturday, March 31, was a safe environment for feminists to celebrate their ideals while listening and dancing to their favorite local and famous artists such as Cosmic Cactus, Hoity Toity, Alice Bag, Sammus and more. Donohue worked extremely hard putting the event together. From contacting the artists, to promoting the event, she did an outstanding job making the first Fem Fest happen. It was an unforgettable day for feminists in the Redlands community.
